john gayer cant sing he just sounds bad he has no voice. How dare him to ruin a great song like Free Fallin. I have never liked john gayer and he goes and ruins one of my favorite songs sung best buy Tom Petty.
love it. where 2 begin.john mayer, altho cocky and whatever, he taps into the old blues that we all love with harmonious neatness of today. this album is brilliant and so is jm.
He should stick with his enormous talet as showcased on this great dvd and back off the tabloid social exposure. I finally get it. John is a very gifted musician and more talented than his overexposed social life might suggest.
John's lead guitar work is on par with some of the best. If you haven't seen him live in concert, this is pretty close. In the past, John's guitar work has been too laid back for me, so I really wasn't expecting a strong set. Overall, I enjoy this CD. I was impressed.Heading back to the acoustic section, I found that I preferred his acoustic arrangements of "Neon" and "Daughters" to that of the originals. My wife has always enjoyed John Mayer's music.
The concert is divided into three sections: acoustic, electric blues, and rock.Electric blues has always been a favorite of mine, so I settled into that part of the concert first. If you have, you'll be able to relive the moments. Myself, I've learned to like it. The acoustic guitar and John Mayer seemed to be made for each other. Finally, I listened to the section with John and his band. My wife has requested that I order one of my own and stop taking hers. A few weeks ago, she purchased John Mayer's latest, "Where The Light Is." For those who don't know, "Where The Light Is" is a live concert album that was recorded in Los Angeles in December 2007 and was released as a CD in July 2008.
His rendition of "Come When I Call" sounded eerily familiar to that of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughn, and then when he played a 10-minute solo on "Out of My Mind," he almost exorcised the talent of Jimi Hendrix.
One may also hear the subtle blues influence of the late guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, who along with Mayer and Johnson is Willhite's biggest musical inspiration."Debut EP and new single are here on Amazon MP3, on iTunes and emusic.http://www.myspace.com/jameswillhitemusic81http://itunes.com/JamesWillhite/TheStoryUnfolds-EP Fans of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Josh Ritter.check out singer/songwriter James Willhite."Willhite often draws comparisons to artists such as John Mayer and Jack Johnson because of his smooth voice, heartfelt songwriting and mellow blues-inspired guitar work. Although Willhite has discovered his own unique sound as of lately, the presence of these contemporary greats is quite prevalent.
